Custom Munny: R50 Munny Part 2
I made some progress with my first custom Munny figure. I should have washed it first in soapy water (to get that factory coating off). It would have made drawing on it a whole lot easier. It’s alright though, I’ve erased enough to remove 90% of the coating. Though, it is definitely tougher to draw on these guys than I thought. And drawing a symmetrical design is killing me. It always looks off and I’ve got to start over. I have so much eraser lint on my desk it’s obscene. Hey, at least it’s only pencil. Let̵... MORE

I love Bakerella
Bakerella is scrumdidlyumptious. She creates confections that are crafted to perfection. I stumbled upon this website today and I simply can’t take my eyes off of it. I adore crafty baking, so this site is like heaven in two and a half clicks. The photography is brilliant. It really carries the site… makes it oh-so-inviting. Bakerella even shows you behind the scenes, shares her recipes and more.
I can’t even describe it properly. Go give her a visit and be prepared to be amazed.

Rescue Me: Flyer Illustration
Earlier this week I created a flyer for a buddy of mine at work. Proceeds go to Curly Tail Pug Rescue. I had a fun time with the typography and illustration. I think more is in store for the pugs. Stay tuned.

This Is Not The Blueprint 3
Though this may look like an outtake from the photo shoot for Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 album cover, it is See Through by Helga Steppan. About this project:
“See Through is a series of twelve photographs. In which I audited all my personal belongings and divided them into a full spectrum of colour groupings.”
Really interesting stuff. Makes me want to do this in my home… but that wouldn’t be such a good idea. Lots of work. And it might make me go insane.

Illustration: Tribal Elder
This Tribal Elder I created earlier this year was inspired by a Monster Series conceived by my buddy Jozias Dawson. I love the style. The typography came out nice as well. Perhaps I’ll make something more…

Review: The Magic (of the) Mouse
Ah, Magic Mouse. How beautiful you are. How I’ve dreamed of you… I’ve had three days with Apple’s new mouse, Magic Mouse. Check out my review.
Concept:
Pushing the boundaries and redefining products has always been on Apple’s agenda. I think they’ve outdone themselves yet again with this mouse. No physical buttons and no scroll wheel/ball? Pretty amazing. And with the Multi-Touch surface, Apple sets a new benchmark in mouse usability. They give users the fluidity that previous products did not achieve (industry-wid... MORE
